Turkey and Shopping
Mood:  special
Tangled was amazing.  I love that movie!  I can't wait to buy it on DVD.  It was an expensive movie.  $16 a ticket...for a 3D movie...damn, I'd rather buy the dvd.  But it was worth it.  I went with my sister, my friend, and her sister.  It was a lot of fun even though I was sniffling the whole time.  Flynn Rider is amazingly gorgeous.  I wish he was a real person.  My boyfriend would be mad hearing that...or maybe a bit jealous, I don't know.

Thanksgiving was fun.  My aunt and uncle came over along with some-kind of cousin.  I don't really know how family hierarchy works.  But she's a relative.  We had good food.  And I was sick.

I woke up early this morning to go shopping.  Black Friday sales, yay!  I got new boots, a necklace, and the Flynn Rider doll.  I just had to get the doll.  He's so hot.  The doll even has abs!  I love it!  Oh, and it came with a tiara for me so I can be his princess!  Yay!  Anyway, I love the boots I got.  I wanted them in brown, but the brown was all gone by the time I got there.  I picked up the red ones...thinking....I don't know if I should get red.  Then I noticed they had black.  I was like YES!  So I got the black ones.

I'm tired, and still sick and my tummy and back hurt.  My knees hurt a bit too.  I need a nap.  Maybe I'll go to bed early tonight.  I still have to do my homework.  I've been so busy, and then sick, and then busy.  I really have to get it done before Monday.  I hope I feel a lot better tomorrow!

On the third day of sickness...
Mood:  down

Yep, still sick.  I went to bed at 1pm today.  Woke up at 6pm.  I was just so tired.  I went to my sociologoy class this morning.  We watched a video, and my nose was running away.  I stayed after to help another student with his Flash homework.  I wanted it to be quick but he ended up talking to me for a while.  My class ended at 9:30, so I was with him until 11:30.  We finished the flash work around 10:30, so the rest of the time was just talking.  I finally was too sick to stay, so I had to leave.  He's starting to understand flahs now though.  That's good.
I'm seeing Tangled tonight at 12am.  Pretty late, I know.  I hope I don't sleep through it.  But I'm bringing my box of tissues, a bottle of water, and wrapping myself in warmness.  My sister and I figure this would be the best time to see it.  There shouldn't be kids up that late.  But I dunno, it is the first showing.
I need a nap.

So sick
Mood:  down
Still sick.  My nose is really runny now, but at least my sore throat is gone.  I've been drinking a lot and taking medicine.  I got to flush this sickness out of me.

School
I had Flash and Number Theory today.  I was sick, but I managed to get through.  My nose started to run really bad in Number Theory though.  Good thing I had lots of tissues.
In flash I worked on my portfolio.  It's coming along well.  My professor told me what I need to do to make the birdie fly to each button...it's a lot of work but I'm going to do it.
Number theory was fun today despite my sickness.  We learned how to calculate what day of the week it is and when easter is going to be on a given year.  It was cool.

Today's Fortune Cookie

A smile is the most effective medicine.  Lucky Numbers:  18, 12, 11, 33, 52, 55.  Well I've been smiling all day and I'm still sick.

Ughh
Mood:  down
I am sick.  I have a cold.  Sore throat.  Runny nose.  Earaches.  Full of phlegm.  I can’t stand it.  I had fun in the city this weekend though.  Yesterday I met my boyfriend at the Port Authority as usual and we had lunch at Dallas BBQ.  It was great!  I had delicious honey basted chicken, a baked potato with loads of butter, salt, and sour cream, and some cornbread.  It was so good.  Then we went to his place and played some Kirby.  In the midst of Kirby I came down with a sore throat, and it only got worse from there.  I went to bed at 7 because I was so tired.  I didn’t even get a chance to do any homework.

Today was just as unsuccessful as yesterday.  My cold is getting worse, and I tried doing homework but I just couldn’t concentrate.  That’s two days down the drain.  I hope I can get better soon so I can focus.  My head is full of phlegm.

I hope tomorrow I feel ok at school.  I have class from 10am until 3:10:pm.  I hope I can last.  I want to be better!

Friday!
Mood:  cool
Sorry it's been so long everyone.  I've been busy the past few days.
Wednesday I had my second SNT meeting.  Things went well.  It was at 10pm so everyone was a bit tired.  We talked about our goals and about accomplishing them.  My SMART goal is now to redo my website to make it more professional by the end of the semester.  I've started working on the design for my site.  Hopefully, it turns out nice.

Thursday I went to my classes and afterwards there was a photo shoot for When East Meets West (WEMW) season 5.  I participated in this program over the summer and last winter.  Korean students from Jeonju University came to Bloomfield in the winter and we worked together with them on an animation/video project.  When we went to their university during the summer we completed the project. Anyway, we all got together again (minus our Korean counterparts) to take some photos and answer a few questions so an article can be written up about our experiences.  This article is going to be on the Bloomfield College website.

Today was Leadership Training Day for the NSLS.  It was from 10am to 1pm.  We watched a video and did exercises.  These exercises were geared towards helping us to find our goals and purpose.  It also thought us to have self-confidence and believe we can achieve our dreams.  I learned to not give up on my dream of becoming an animator and to work hard to make it happen.

This weekend I am going to my boyfriend’s house.  We didn’t make any specific plans for things to do, so I’m assuming we will just be hanging out, watching movies or playing some video games.  I also have some homework I need to work on as well.

School
I had Number Theory class today.  We finished the last lesson on the syllabus.  My professor is going to figure out what else she would like to teach us for the remaining weeks.  It should be interesting to see what she picks.

I have a bit of homework to do this weekend.  I have my flash portfolio to work on.  I need to draw, scan, and color backgrounds for my capstone.  I also need to start my identity paper for life drawing for motion, as well as the self-portraits I have to do.  Lastly, I need to add one paragraph to my last sociology paper.

Today’s Fortune Cookie
Fearless courage is the foundation of victory.  Lucky Numbers:  52, 16, 56, 25, 2, 1.  This fortune as I lot to do with what I learned in leadership training today.  Having the positive mindset, the courage, without any negativity, fear, can lead to success, the victory.  By staying courageous and believing in yourself, you set up the foundation to achieve your dream.  The lucky numbers on this one aren’t that great.  The 2 and 1 are interesting being prime and counting down in order.  I do like the number 1.  1, 16, and 25 are all squares…interesting.

Dinner was Great
Mood:  not sure

Sorry no post yesterday. I was tired.  I had nellie's for dinner.  I love that restuarant.  Their food is the best.  I got fried clams and french fries and some chicken vegetable soup.  Delicious.

My knees have been hurting a lot lately.  I know it's from the way I sit, but I can't really avoid it.  Same with the constant back pain I have.  I've also been getting a lot of really bad headaches at night.  I have no idea why, but it stinks.

School:
Yesterday I had flash and number theory classes.  In flash we are making portfolios as our final project.  I'm going to use mine for my website.  I might even do my whole website in flash and make a non-flash version as well.  We will see how this goes.

Number theory is pretty much the same as always.  The professor finally posted some homework online on blackboard.  I did one problem so far and started the second.  I'll finish tomorrow.

Today I had sociology and life drawing for motion.  In sociology we talked about education and watched a video on bullying.  It was horrible to see how bullying affected children's lives.  I hope one day that bullying comes to an end.
I handed in my essay and have only a paragraph left to do on the last essay.  I'll finish for thursday.

In life drawing for motion we had a model come in.  She is a really cool persona dn super nice.  I'm getting good at drawing in charcol.  I have a hard time with conte crayon.  I did some research for my final paper today.  I have it on my flash drive.  I have to put it on my laptop soon.  Maybe tomorrow.

Today's fortune cookie:
Minor aches today are likely to pay off handsomely tomorrow.  Lucky Numbers:  54, 40, 31, 11, 28, 4.  Just a note - I don't eat chinese every night.  I just save all my fortunes.  So I'm just going through old ones until I do have chinese for dinner.  I like this advice.  It's telling me not to procrastinate.  If I do all my work now, I can have free time when it's all over.  As for the lucky numbers...I'm not feeling it.

Toys for Tots and Motorcycles

Today was the Bergen County Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run.  My dad particpated in the ride.  He came in on his bike and then we gave the Marines our toys.  We got two meal tickets for donating toys.  Each ticket was good for a food item.  I got a hot dog and some teriyaki chicken wings.  Each came with a free bag of chips.  The food was really good, especially the wings.  We also bought raffle tickets to try and win prizes.  I tried for a kayak, mini fridge, and some gift baskets.  I did not end up winning anything, though.  My dad did win however.  He won a Toys for Tots gift bag with a tshirt and a hat.  My dad let me keep the hat, so now I have a nice new hat to wear.

Homework wise, I finished the reading for my second sociology essay.  I started to type it, but never got around to finishing it.  I will get it done tomorrow.

Well today was pretty good.  I got a toy for the event tomorrow.  I picked up a Mickey Mouse band set thing.  It's like a big drum with drum sticks, a tambourine, maracas, a harmonica, a flute, castanets, and a clacker in it.  I thought it was cool.  I'm sure the child who gets it will love it.  The parent might not though.  All the noise.  Oh well, I still love it.

I went to the SNT mixer today.  It was fun.  My SNT group has 9 people in it.  We are meeting Wednesday at 10pm, for our next meeting. It's a bit late, but it was the best time for everyone.  We set goals for ourselves.  My goals are to finish capstone on time, be less shy, and be less lazy.  I think those are good goals for me.

Today's Fortune Cookie:
Write your life's events in a journal.  Lucky Numbers: 41, 53, 11, 16, 17, 18.  Ok...well, that's good advice, thanks I guess.  Nice lucky numbers though.  16, 17, and 18 all in a row.  Cool.

Friday Friday

Well today was pretty ok.  I did not really do much.  I sat at home, went to class, came back, watched my show.

I watch a Korean drama called Happiness in the Wind.  It's on every weeknight at 9:20 until 10.  It's an enjoyable show.  Right now a lot of drama is going on.  Obok wants a divorce with Dachaen, but he does not want it.  Obok does not like the fact that Miran came back into Dachaen's life.  Miran wants to get Doklip (Dachaen and Miran's son) back as well as Dachaen.  Dachaen does not want anything more to do with Miran.  It's all very complicated, but that makes for a good show.

Tomorrow night is the SNT mixer in the deacon's den.  I wonder what my SNT group will be like and when we are going to have to meet.  I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

I need to update my website.  Hopefully my Flash class helps me organize a nice portfolio to display my art.  We'll see how that goes.  But I also need to edit my resume, and post it online. I also need to make my website more professional looking and a constant theme.  Right now the entrance page does not match with the rest of the site.  I have to fix that.

School:
I had Number Theory class today.  This class confuses me a bit.  It takes me a while to understand what we are learning about.  I always have to study very hard for the tests.  Only one more test left for this class, though.  My professor is going to put homework assignments up on Blackboard this weekend.  Gotta do those once I get them to see what I understand.  It's always helpful to get my corrected homework back.  It helps me learn what I did wrong so I know how to get it right next time.

I did most of my sociology paper.  I have about half a page left to type.  I'll finish before I go to bed.  Tomorrow I'll start the reading for the next paper.

I still have backgrounds for capstone to do.  As soon as I get my papers done, I'll start fiddling around in photoshop.  Maybe make some brushes of the plants and other items that are going to appear in my capstone.

I also have my final paper dor drawing to do still.  I'll start that some time this coming week.  So much to do before the semester ends!

Today's Fortune Cookie:
Learn to listen, not to hear.  Lucky Numbers:  27, 35, 31, 23, 24, 51.

This is very good advice.  I think I know quite a few people who need to take this advice.  Listening is very important.  It's how you learn.  Hearing a lecture and listening a lecture are two different things.  Just hearing does not mean you are paying attention to what is being said.  Listening is absorbing what you hear, giving meaning to the sounds.  You learn about what is being said.  As for the lucky numbers, I like 27 and 31.  Those are nice numbers.

2 Elevens and 1 Ten
Mood:  lazy

Second day of my blog!  Yay!  It's not the prettiest blog, but that's ok.  It's just to get my thoughts down.  I'm going to try and organize my entries a bit too

The Toys for Tots motorcyle run in Sunday.  I'm going to pick up a toy to donate tomorrow.  That should be fun.  The have raffles, food, and music.  Maybe I'll win something!

I also have a meeting for NSLS on Saturday.  We are going to be put into our Success Networking Teams (SNT).  It should be interesting.  I just wish it was earlier in the day and not 5pm-8pm.  Oh well.

I'm not seeing my boyfriend this weekend since I have a lot going on.  He lives in Queens, and with me being in Jersey, it gets a little difficult going back and forth.  We usually see each other on weekends and talk everyday via aim and sometimes skype.  I will be going there next weekend.  Which is why I must do as much homework as possible this weekend.

I ordered my honors program sweatshirt today.  I was the one who designed the image/test for the back.  I really like how it turned out, so I can't wait to get mine.  I could use a new hoodie.  My current Bloomfield College one is getting worn.  The sleeve cuffs are starting to tear apart.  Maybe I'll get a new one of those as well.  When I save up some money.

School:
So I had my sociology and pre-capstone courses today.  Sociology went well.  We took some note and watched a video on polygamy.  It's an intereting subject.  If I were married, I do not think I would be able to deal with my husband having other wives.  It's not for me and I do not think it is a really good lifestyle.  I still have both my essays to do for this class.  I plan on doing both this weekend.  I pretty much finished the reading for the first essay.  I'll finish the reading and type the essay up tomorrow.  Then Saturday I'll work on the next essay.

In pre-capstone class I was playing around in photoshop trying to think of ideas for backgrounds.  I like photoshop brushes, they have a nice effect.  I'm going to attempt some backgrounds this weekend/coming week and see how it goes. I may or may not work on the story board more for next class.  I have to see how my other homework goes first.

I have my drawing paper to do as well.  I started to look up my topic of identity.  I found some interesting articles that I have to read through some more.  I also have to think about how I see myself and how others see me.  I was voted quietest in high school, so I think others see me as a quiet/shy person.  I have to incorporate my image of myself and the image I think others see of me into a self portrait as well.  That should be fun.  I'm thinking of doing a normal self portrait first, then one on how I see myself, then one that's how I think others see me. Then after I do those three, I can make a combination one.

Nothing new with Number Theory or Flash class.
